On August 23, 1939 representatives from Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union met and signed the Nonaggression Pact. The Nonaggression Pact stated that the two countries will not attack each other and be in peace. This pact protected Germany from fighting a two-front war. This was a turning point in history because the Germans invaded poland and started World War 2. The pact was broken when the Nazi German decided to attack the Soviet Union two years later.
This pictures shows the German troops marching.
This cartoon represents how long the pact will last.
